After watching games this week, it's apparent that some of the top teams use either a 3 guard (Duke) or even 4 guard offense (Missouri). It's interesting how we have almost overwhelming size not only on the front line but also including our bench players.

Questions are:
  • Can we effectively make smaller line-ups pay? Especially when opponent is playing us M2M.
  • Are our inside players savvy enough at this point in development to be a vital part of our 1/2 court offense to attack smaller teams?
  • Will we resort more to a "smaller" line-up (Joseph and Fair/Southerland at the forwards) --- or another combination in these situations?

Not sure we'd need to. With the 2-3, we may just shade the arc against a team like Mizz and let our 7'0 6'9 6'7 front line dominate the boards. We'd make them match up with our size, not the other way around.

Duke looks about as unathletic as they come. Maybe not as bad as ND...but damn...
