So who hires David Cutliffe for next year?

Cutcliffe is a great fit at Duke, I don't think he goes anywhere.

Seriously? He's prolly calling his agent at halftime!?

Seriously. I would be mildly surprised if he left. He doesn't seem like he's in this solely for the money. Plus he has a good thing going with his Manning affiliations.

He's a commodity. And after tonight, a hot one. Have to believe there are some programs taking notice of what he has done at Dook this year. Dook!! We'll see

Would have been great if they had faked the FG.

Duke has sh@t ton of money and are investing in their football program. They'll keep him.

Edit: Unless you think Texas will go after him. In which case they can gather up more money than anyone. He's too old, though, so I doubt they will.

How old is old? How old is Saban? Hint, Nick is 62

Cutcliffe isn't going anywhere. He's making $2 mil with a certain raise coming his way and is 57 years old. He's got it good there, could certainly close out his career in Durham.

only place I could ever see cutcliffe going would be work with eli or peyton in the nfl

There's going to be alot of teams wanting Cutcliffe. If the money is dangling infront of his face he's leaving Duke

Not buying it with this guy if Duke does the right things. They gave him 6 years to build the program, he has a base and he has been through the ringer with Ole Miss and UT. Perfect spot for him.

Wherever he goes, make sure he's got a spare room for Eli.

Wouldn't mind a 4 week refresher this spring/early summer.

Will this be like a Grobe situation and has he done all he can do at Duke? Does he like it there and how old are his kids? Is he from the area or would he want to go back to his roots? How is his recruiting and can he turn that up with this resent success or is this the ceiling? A couple of 5-7/7-5 years will the fan base be ok with that or clamor for more? Could be his last chance to get a good paycheck if with Duke or somewhere else and I'm a big believer in striking while the fire is hot.

Miami was down but getting better...same with NC. VT is a mess to a point and this is Dukes chance to seize the opportunity.

His kids all went/are at tenn, he's 60 and had a heart attack or something already.

There's no place to go. That SEC bridge has been crossed twice and he's in the ACC. He should be under contract for 4-5 more years and then help run whatever big time QB school the Mannings open up.

Duke caught lightening.

Yep, he is all set, probably looking at retirement spots already, I say 3-4 years and all done. He will have some 6-8 win seasons and Duke will build off that. I highly doubt that Coach Cut is in the mood to deal with a bunch of bs at this point but probably wont ever do what they did this yaer in the forseeable future, He is held in very very high regard by people who know the game. He has nothing left to prove and probably doesn't want the headaches, already had them

Thanks Kaiser, I couldn't remember his history. Unless Duke steps this up and takes advantage of the lightning they will end up going down the Grobe path and they should be upgrading their facilities and staff pay as well.
