Just some quick stats/observations on SU players at this point in season...
1.) Hughes playing well, especially as of late.
Last 7 games - Averaging 16.9 ppg / 5.1 rpg / 1.7 apg / 2.3 tpg / 477% FG (vs 451% for season)
2.) Battle's game against St. Bonaventure was outstanding!
21 pts on perfect shooting (8/8) & 6 steals
3.) Howard having a difficult season so far (groundbreaking analysis you only get here folks, haha) - needs to drive ball more. But - shooting may be coming around (or, at least little better on his 3's).
Howard only 11 free throws attempted this year in 254 mins - 1 every 23 mins! (Not good...)
Vs last year, Howard had 128 FTAs in 1422 mins, or 1 every 11 mins.
3 PT Shooting: Howard 1st 5 games - .167% vs Howard last 5 games - .350% (Hey, it's improvement.)
4.) Carey, when given minutes (at MSG) played incredibly. So...why not given more minutes?
Carey's averages in 2 games at MSG: 37 mpg / 20 ppg / 5 rpg / 3 spg / 4 tpg / 591% FG!
5.) Marek extremely judicious with shot selection...Too much so?
Marek has 31 FGA all year! In 262 mins played, that's one shot every ~8.5 mins!
6.) Oshae's game picking up lately...thank goodness.
Last 9 games for Oshae: 13.9 ppg on 446% FG (vs season average of 389% FG).
7.) Lastly: Big gap in season average shooting percentage from Battle/Hughes to Brissett/Howard.
Battle - 480% FG (season averages)
Hughes - 451% FG
Brissett - 389% FG
Howard - 294% FG
Finally: Looking to actually make drive up from Buffalo to attend a game this Saturday vs G-Tech (first time in probably 5 or more years)! Any advice as to ticket purchase strategy? Anyone have any looking to get rid of? Get at me! (Please, and thank you.)
