I usually dig into the stats for fun during a season and haven't because we've been horrible and that's no way to make the best of this craptastic year.

BUT the Clemson game actually provides some stats worth sharing. The big caveat is how seriously Clemson took us going in and how focused they were. (Also shout out to the poster who said we wouldn't have a revenge factor like Duke and Liberty did - seems like we were playing for something.)

Clemson Defense v Syracuse O
Our O had a decent game vs a very good defense. The 3 TO's sunk any hope of winning, but we still had our best outing on offense per play.

Average YPP vs Other TeamsClemson v Syracuse 10/24
Clemson D3.98 allowed5.6 allowed
Syracuse O4.26 gained5.6 gained

Clemson Offense v Syracuse D
Kind of the same story here. We played pretty well, overall vs an all-time type QB/RB tandem.

Average YPP vs Other TeamsClemson v Syracuse 10/24
Clemson O6.82 gained5.42 gained
Syracuse D6.05 allowed5.42 allowed

We over performed our averages on both sides of the ball with *a lot* of our players out with injury or sitting out. We gave Clemson the best challenge of the season. No joke.
