Orange Takes on Huskies in Final Exhibition

STORRS, Conn. – No. 15 Syracuse has its final tune up for the 2015 season on Saturday, Aug. 22 when it takes on RV Connecticut in Storrs, Conn. Match time is set for 7 p.m.

The Orange has split its first two exhibition games. Syracuse is coming off a 1-0 victory against Buffalo. Freshman Andreas Jenssen scored in the 50th minute on an assist from senior Noah Rhynhart for the game's only goal. Freshman goalkeeper Austin Aviza recorded five saves in the shutout. In its exhibition opener, No. 3 Georgetown defeated Syracuse, 3-0.

The Orange opens the 2015 season with a pair of road matches. Syracuse takes on Hofstra on Friday, Aug. 28 before facing Bucknell on Sunday, Aug. 30. Both matches are slated for 7 p.m. starts.

8' Chance for U Conn as they drive down the left wing & cut a ball back to the top of the box, their midfielder strikes a shot over the bar

14' Buescher delivers another dangerous free kick into the box. The knock down falls to Nanco who curls a shot over the bar

19' Cuse win the ball high up the field and play Nanco in behind, Nanco smashes the bouncing ball narrowly over the bar.

23' Goal UConn. A free kick is played into the box and the knockdown falls to a UConn player who volleys into the bottom left hand corner.

25' UConn 1-0 Syracuse.

70' GOAL SYRACUSE! Buescher gets the ball on top of the box dances round the defender and curls his shot into the top corner. What a goal!!

78' Syla beats the defender down the line and smashes a ball across the six yard box.The UConn Gk gets a touch on it and it goes for a throw
