Can’t access article at moment. What does this mean exactly? Nobody considered close contact?

So last sentence of first paragraph would mean no contact
From what I have read, the state of Virginia oversees the investigation. They in turn would let us know of any concerns or issues. We put out this statement probably after getting all the data back that we are clear.

Not to be a wet blanket -- this is great news, just asking the question -- but doesn't it potentially take a couple of days for the virus to incubate after exposure? Meaning, isn't a test result 2-3 days from now the real key?

Yes, but - this is a crucial first hurdle to clear.

Yeah the test result is honestly meaningless (it’s a good thing obviously, as will any negative test for any player over the next few weeks). Like I said... the statement re: no quarantine, to me, implies the contact tracing did not identify anyone.

As has basically been the case this entire season, nothing is guaranteed day to day though, especially the “closer” you get to something that’s been confirmed (as in Virginia’s case).

"CBS Sports’ Matt Norlander has reported the test was from a player that did compete in the game for the Cavaliers."

Yes, we have covered this already. Mods maybe time to lock this up?

Health care worker here with a lot of experience in the area. If there was no close, high contact (close, high risk contact is defined as 10 mins within 6 feet without a mask) then they would not have to enter any form of quarantine. If their was a high risk exposure then you would require a test within 3-7 days post exposure (most common time to become contagious or develop symptoms) and then again at 14 days post exposure because that is the last day that it would take before being cleared from testing positive.
