Why does the Athletic Dept feel the need to post negative stories on Facebook? I heard about Thomas' suspension from a Facebook update from the Syracuse Athletic Dept. Can't they be a bit more picky about the news they post?

Are they going to give us a play by play on the Bernie Fine issue (guilt or innocence aside)? Why not leave some of these stories alone and NOT broadcast them to the world.

Seems like a dumb policy to air your dirty laundry unsolicited.

It's a press release. What are they supposed to do, they have to let people know.

Does every company or organization post every press release to facebook? I didn't realize that was part of the school's policy.

Actually yeah, a lot of companies have facebook pages, so I would assume they'd post news on them. The stats will show you can reach more people on facebook than any other medium in the world. It's the new age.

I just hope they find some interns who can make the distinction between "its/it's," "your/you're," and the like.

Many of the athletic department's updates appear to be written by people who not only shouldn't have jobs that involve writing but shouldn't even have been admitted to Syracuse.
