Going to give an incredibly pale imitation of SWC here, but I'm kind of annoyed seeing the WVU fan response to playing us.

All time record: Syracuse 32-27
National Championships: Syracuse 1-0
Heisman: Syracuse 1-0 (should be 3-0, but whatever)
Bowl record Syracuse 13-9-1; WVU 14-17 (1 more win in 8 more bowl games? Really WVU?)
All-Americans: Syracuse 42; WVU 11 (LOL)
College Football Hall of Fame: Syracuse 14; WVU 9
Pro Football Hall of Fame: Syracuse 7; WVU 2
NFL Draft Picks: Syracuse 208 (as of 2009, I know we have more than that now); WVU 174
2012 Record: Syracuse 7-5; WVU 7-5 (would be 6-6 if the two little b***** Ollie Luck and Dana Holgorson didn't p**** out of your game at FSU)

The only thing WVU has that's measurably better than us is conference championships, of course they racked up a bunch of titles in the SoCon when all the good teams had already left it for the ACC and SEC (kind of like how they got a bunch of BE championships once Miami and VT left. I imagine they will absolutely own the Big 12/CUSA/MWC/BE leftover league once the Big 12 is picked apart)

It's funny watching the West Virginia fans struggle with being upset about getting "stuck" in the Pinstripe Bowl and getting worked up over Marvin Graves.

A lot of the "disappointment" on their side is really just a cover for their fear. First they think(as you've shown, baselessly) that they are a far superior program to Syracuse...and they've spent the last year pounding their chests about how much better the Big 12 is than the ACC. Losing to Syracuse would be evidence that what they've been telling themselves is demonstrably false. It would have been OK to end up in some other bowl where they lost to a PAC-12 or Big 10 team, losing to an ACC team would be bad and making it Syracuse would be a freaking disaster to their collective psyche.

That makes a ton of sense. Plus, they can shrug off our last two wins against them as flukes. Three in a row shows that we're on the verge of passing them and restoring the natural order.
