After today, Andre moved up to 53rd all time collegiate point total, tied with Jason Elam.

He needs 36 more points to move into 25th all time.

It would take an incredible remaining nine games, but he does have an outside shot at cracking the top ten when all is said and done.

Also. He is 22 FGs away from tying the most FGs in a career. Probably too high a hill to climb, but it's in reach. Last year really set his pace back.

He is at 74 for his career, tied for 31st.

I guess it makes a difference having a FT special teams coach. For the most part, this unit has has been spot on and has been a huge difference in a 4-0 start. Give the coach the game ball.

Szmyt is not only making his kicks but is drilling them down the middle. Last year, even some of the kicks he made, including XP's, looked funky. So happy for the young man and glad he came back.

Barron got ejected for the weakest “targeting” call ever.

(but UVA’s version of Mikel also got tossed for “targeting” on a weak call too, so at least that kinda balanced out)

Imagine tail ending Groza awards 5 years apart and being part of 2 specials teams 5 years apart? Good to see the good Andre is back.

My theory he tried to show too much leg for the next level after his freshman year. He is back to just pooching it in. Plus I believe he lost 15lbs in the off-season.

I was there and never heard or saw it. On who? I saw #46 as holder and knew it wasn't Barron. Thanks for letting me know!

The UVA one was text book. Guy led with the top of his head. The intent is two-fold: not hitting the ball carrier with the helmet AND preventing neck injuries for the tackler. You don't have to hit the ball carrier in the head.
