The really funny thing is there was this big push in the state about "Rival Right" and having good sportsmanship and everything because the rivalry has gotten stupid in the past.

Are ACC refs any better with their "southern cooking" officiating? Speaking as an Orange fan, I am not convinced in the completely unbiased officials within the ACC.

Having lived in NC for awhile in the late 90’s - early 00’s, I’ve watched ACC football for about 25 years. The officiating isn’t a southern bias. The officials have been terrible that entire time, going back to before any northern schools joined the league. And even back then, the fans of southern ACC teams knew the officiating was bad. I think I even listed on here when Cuse to the ACC was announced, that we needed to brace ourselves for truly awful officiating.
It’s kind of mind boggling how one conference could have such terrible officials for almost 3 decades and not make any improvements. I don’t think they’re biased. I just think they’re inept.
