at Belmont University. Left to the school by a collector, Steven Kern Shaw, including a Lloyd Loar F5 mandolin (est. $250,000), and a 1939 Martin D-45 dreadnought (est. $350,000). What a spectacular collection. I'm sure there's nothing like it outside the Martin Museum at the plant in Nazareth, PA. And apparently some are even available to be played. I hope it's still there when I'm down there next summer.
