I could write volumes but I won't. Especially since much has been written already. I'll just focus on the victory, the team out scoring Le Moyne by nine in the 2nd half and a great game by Jyare Davis. Never would have guessed he would have been the leading scorer and rebounder. Also, how much the team not only counted on Chris Bell to score, but to make the best defensive play of his career to help wrap up the game.

No sense getting into the Bad and Ugly. One down and thirty to go.

I’m gonna give him some credit where credit is due. I’ve seen an improvement in his defensive intensity. Why take away what was a great moment. At the very least he put himself in a great position to make a play fighting over the pick.

To me, Chris Bell's great defensive play looked like he got pushed into the right place at the right time.
Not seeing that he got pushed, but he definitely was in the right place at the right time.

I stand corrected. He moved so fast after that it looked like a shove from the guy behind him when I saw it live.

It was fast, tv view obstructed due to all the bodies, and he hit the ground after. I wasn't sure what I saw in real time. Half thought the whistle was against him for a split second until I saw the celebration.

I thought the same thing about the whistle.

Lots of times it seems like refs will anticipate a foul and blow their whistle. If that would have happened I think it would have been called on Bell, but this ref was in great position to make the correct call. Less than ten feet away and a clear view of the play developing. Refs usually get spit on for their ineptitude, but this video really shows how great a call it really was.
