My class was reading "Science World" magazine yesterday and the feature article was on the making of The Hobbit. On one of the activity sheets it was mentioned the movie was the first filmed at 48 frames per second. If The Hobbit had been created using the celluloid film, the film would have been 4,300 miles long.
