I get that they modified the rule sightly today.

But why not enforce the rule they have where Un sportsman like is 15 YDs.

Playing with 12 is 15 yds. Its an Un sportsman like thing to do.

Playing with 11 and a guy trying to run off is still the 5.

Why fool around with resetting play clocks and crap at all?

As I was watching the game, I thought right away this is brilliant.

And I also thought, this is going to change. Didn't realize it would be this quickly.

Neuheisal on Monday was saying that the unsportsmanlike does exist, but he said refs likely weren't looking for it or even considering it. Now they will. They'll have the opposing coach in their ear.

I knew there was a rule.
I also know that sometimes they have thrown the flag before the play starts
why would play with 12 ever be a thing they allow when its intentional.
And now the 12 man rule only matters after 2 min.

if a 12th guy runs on the field and makes a stop they call the 15YD penalty. Just do it all the time. Its in the rules.

Taking advantage of loopholes is smart football and hopefully the refs will do what's needed to fix this.

I'm still confused why the D can crush a QB with a late hit and the O gets called for illegal procedure on the same play and it's a play the down over. To me, it's simple subtraction and 10 yards gained by the O.
