Wait, wut?

This thread is about the #1 team in America, bar none.

I don't want to hear about how so-and-so may beat us on any given night. I don't want to hear about how some team "NEEDS A WIN" and will come fired up and SU MUST have play their best game of the year lest they may lose. I don't care about some no-name white guy who could possibly light it up with a dazzlying display of three-point shooting not seen since McNamara's first half in the Championship Game.

All of that is hedging. Hedging is for companies playing the interest rate game. All of that is hogwash. Baylor couldn't hang with us if we started the walk-ons. We are going undefeated. Take your worries elsewhere. Stand strong with this team. SU is the best team this year and will win it all!

Today's No Hedging Bet - We will crush Pitt tonight. No questions about it.

Weren't you the same poster on the football board that declared Lville and UCONN inferior opponents and that we had no business losing to them prior to the games? I like the enthusiasm but Syracuse will lose a few games this year. They just will, I believe they will win tonight but I don't see them sweeping the road show of Cinci, UCONN, LVille. We haven't really gotten into the meat of the schedule this year.

Yes, I was. I make a decision and stick with it. No hedging.

And we may lose, but that's not my point. I'm sick of the "we should win, but..." comments. We get it, you're covering yourself in case we lose. I'm going all in.

And you were the poster that said Jb wouldn't make it to the Big East schedule. Who cares? I agree with you about us not getting to the meat of our schedule. 29-2 would get us everything we need going forward.

Indeed!

Although he hasn't said it lately, JB warned that many of these wins are "Fool's Gold". This is Pitt's salvage-the-season game for them and they will be very determined. We must match that intensity something we traditionally are not able to do with them.

It's real simple. We haven't beaten these guys in 5 years. I find that to be kind of shocking. I don't care if Pitt is currently 0-5, they are still Pitt, and until we beat them, and beat them soundly, they concern me. Tonight ought to be an epic beat down, but I'm concerned that it's going to be a close game.

Tonight tells us a LOT about our team. If we come out and smoke Pitt by about 20-25 points, then we probably won't lose again until we face either UConn or Louisville on the road (IF we lost at all, that is ...). I'm starting to believe this team could run the table.

Agree, until we handle LVille and Pitt, then these teams have our number regardless of what we have done and what they have done

Tonight is going to be a special night in the Dome.

JB will tie Adolph Rupp tonight with his 876th win.
Syracuse will come out foused and determined to end the Pitt domination. Scoop has never beaten Pitt and I look for him and Kris to have great games tonight.
We will set a school record for best start to a season at 20-0.

I fully expect to be walking out of the Dome tonight a happy man.

Their season is past salvaging ... unless they win the BET. Tonight they go 0-6 in the BE

Did you not read what this thread is about. Get this hedging nonsense out of here!

The last five years have nothing to do with tonight. That is irrational thinking. And again with the hedging. The only thing that has remained a constant in those years are the head coaches. Are you telling me that Dixon is a better coach than JB?

I do like your second paragraph, except for the losing part :)

Technically speaking, his second paragraph had an "if" in it, so I think it's suspect...
