Just had a chance to watch my tape of the Pitt game. Noticed something a little strange. SU began pressing just before the 6 minute mark in the 1st half. Applied the press 5 or 6 times. Pitt broke the press all but once but scored only once after turning the ball over but regaining the pocession. The other times resulted in missed shots or turnovers on the Pitt end. Now SU did not score the one time they turned Pitt over under the basket and only scored once on the pocession immediately after they pressed! In fact after not scoring and Pitt going down and scoring themselves or missing, SU scored like 4 out of 5 tmes in the half court. So, if Pitt fails to score does that make the press successful or SU not scoring as the result of the press make it unsuccessful?
