- I feel like I was operated on without an anesthetic - but the operation was a success.

- Once again, Buddy Boeheim had a big game but once again, he couldn’t so it alone. So… We’re off to the Sweet 16!
- A big key was that Buddy remembered that he’s not just a shooter. He’s a scorer. It doesn’t have to be all 30 foot highlight shots. If it’s not going in, he can drive around his man and pull up or even get to the basket for a lay-up. And once the ball goes in, a great shooter will shoot any shot with more confidence.

- Joe Girard again had a big first half, doing his Buddy imitation with all 12 of his points, including 4 treys. He also had 6 rebounds and 7 assists. He has a knack for tracking long rebounds and being the first to get there.

- It was a mistake to put Marek aback in for that one possession in the first half and a bigger mistake for Marek to try to draw a charge up eight with 5 seconds left. But when Jesse got his fourth foul in the second half, JB showed the faith to put Marek back in with four fouls, 12:48 left and a four-point lead. Marek played smart but not tentatively, still made some great plays and we won by 3. He wound up with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.

- Quincy Guerrier still seems to be playing with a lack of explosiveness, a very two-dimensional game. But, after a poor game against SDS, he gutted it out for 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks. We just need 4 more productive games out of those legs, Quincy!

- Robert Braswell again played well. He had 7 points and 3 rebounds but played good defense and made smart plays, playing within himself, (unlike Griffin). He’s not going to have a 20/10 game, (as Allan has done three times) but he’s not going to hurt you out there, either.

- It isn’t in the box score but Kadary Richmond getting the ball across midcourt and getting a pass off toe Braswell while being blasted by two defenders was the play of the game.

- We’re still going. Not still going: Bryant, Niagara, Rider, Rutgers, Boston College, Northeastern, Buffalo, Notre Dame, Wake Forest, Pittsburgh, Georgetown, North Carolina, Miami, Virginia Tech, Virginia, North Carolina State, Louisville, Duke, Georgia Tech, Clemson, San Diego State or West Virginia. Those are all of our opponents so far this year. The only other ACC still in is Florida State, who can’t play us until the national title game.

- Jim Boeheim is now 16-14 as an underdog in the NCAA tournament and 12-3 since 2003. That’s 80%, folks.

18-9 (10-8) with ? to go

LET’S GO ORANGE!!!

Remember when people were doing the math to see if we would keep our winning season streak? Feels pretty safe.

51, baby. three more and we tie UCLA. One more and we've got a record that should last for quite a while, (even if it's unofficial).

Thank you for these as always.

was it just me or did Quincy motion to the bench asking to be taken out right before he missed those free throws in the first half?

I thought JB did an excellent job with rotating the guards in the first half too. Got Joe out when he was gassed. Went back to him right away when Buddy was a little off, etc. Kept them both fresh, focused. Both can play off Kadary.

Even in the second as we all clamored for Kadary, he waited to deploy him with fresh legs as a closer with about 8 left. Just really enjoyed his strategy with guard minutes this game.
