- Well we had a week of dreaming about laying at the “next level” the rest of the season , going 10-2 and winding up in a BCS bowl. We are back to the more reasonable goal of getting bowl eligible, spending the holidays somewhere warm and then hitting the recruiting trail to get better. We just need one more win.

- The defensive adjustment that prevented the big passing plays we were giving up didn’t occur at half time. It occurred during the first half. They never really burned us on a passing play after the first quarter. I like that this coaching staff can make adjustments on the fly like that.

- For the third straight game, we had no turnovers. We are now +5 in turnovers this year.

- The “Stallion” or Wildcat made an appearance and Bailey got two good gains on it.

- The big plays were there to be made if we could have gotten the ball to the receivers. Maybe next week, we will.

5-3 and four to be

LET’S GO ORANGE!!!

Ross Krautman with a kickoff to the endzone... touchback!
When he kicked off to start the game, the ball made it past the goal line. Even though it was returned I was happy to see it!

Defensively did we really successfully prevent big passing plays? Or did they stay conservative to maintain the lead, grind it out and make us beat them with our offense against the strength of their team, the defense?

Nobody would stop throwing to open receivers. And there were several plays where Bridgewater had time to throw but didn't, at least not immediately.
