One sidelight to today’s dramatic game was the play by play of veteran broadcaster Thom Brennaman.

On the downside, Thom consistently appeared to have absolutely no idea what was happening in the game he was watching.

Did he not have a monitor?

And that’s not to suggest any bias. He was simply clueless in every possible way.

On the upside, he repeatedly referred to us as the Orangemen.

God bless you for that Thom.

Anything else can be forgiven.

Lots of bias today from the crew imo….one of the doofus’ wanted to change the kneeling down rule to.

I liked Thom for baseball. Will have to watch the replay to see how bad he was. I cant remember what he said but glad he got a 2nd chance to work at his craft.

Funny you say this. I kept yelling at the TV (that never seems to hear me) "Are you watching the same game as me?!!
Guy was awful.

Oh you’re going to have fun.

I stopped watching, but the dude has a voice.

He was incredibly ineffective. The color guy was fine.
The color guy had his moments. Like when he thought a holding call on VT was a bad call simply because the blocker had his hands inside the shoulder pads. Nevermind that the SU guy was clearly trying to turn and pull away as the runner went around him but couldn't because the blocker had two fists full of jersey he was yanking on.

His call enabled me to share to my wife how SU Athletics had spray painted the endzone green over the MEN in ORANGEMEN when we made the change. Has to be at least 20 years now maybe longer. The incorrect apostrophe in Ernie Davis Legend's Field that we used to stare at from section 301 used to drive her crazy along with the upside-down S. Thom's call brought back memories of prior editing mistakes over the years!

He also called that play leading into the 2 minute warning a first down even though the ref was marking it well short at that exact moment.
