Syracuse Mention

The other baby-faced title team was Syracuse in 2003, featuring freshmen Carmelo Anthony, Gerry McNamara and Billy Edelin, joined by senior Kueth Duany and sophomores Hakim Warrick and Josh Pace.

Two things helped those teams cut down the nets: At least one of the freshmen was ready to star right away (Lamb for Connecticut, Anthony for Syracuse), and the new guys had a core of experienced talent to show them the ropes.

Most freshman mercenaries are easy to forget. In one year, Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony created college legacies and endeared themselves to fan bases in a way that one-and-dones like Donte Greene and Tristan Thompson couldn't.

Weak job by the Post-Standard this year. Stories about Scoop, KJ, and Dion only.

No roster.

Nothing about the Women's team.

I was waiting for the hard copy expecting there would be more articles, was shocked at how few stories there are this year.
