I got to thinking about short lived series that I really enjoyed, but apparently I was the only one because they tanked in the ratings and were cancelled after only a season or two - or didn't even make it that long.

Trophy Wife
My Mother, the Car - I saw this on Hulu a few years ago. It was so bad, it was good.

I'm sure I'll think of several more.

Son of Zorn
You, Me and the Apocalypse

Those are some recent ones.

Jericho. Show from 2006, cancelled after one season. I really liked it. Not sure why it wasn't more popular honestly.

Revolution

great show, went for 2 years.

they used to have creative titles for the episodes too. Led Zeppelin songs, Stephen King books, popular movies etc...

That one got a little publicity locally since it was set in Kansas. There were a lot of upset people around here when it was cancelled.

SportsNight with a killer cast. Loved that show and own the whole series on DVD. Brilliant writing.

Yeah SportsNight was a pretty solid show.

2 HBO shows that were cancelled after just 2 season:
Togetherness created by the Duplass brothers & starring Mark Duplass
Enlightened created by & starring Mike White & Laura Dern

2 others, not on HBO but also cancelled after just 2 seasons:
Married, with Nat Faxon & Judy Greer
The Jim Gaffigan Show

I liked Married and The Knights of Prosperity.

There's actually a second season - only 7 episodes though. I thought it was good too.

Yep I looked it up and realized they did a shortened second season. I had actually seen it but thought it was all part of a single season. Apparently there is a "season 3 and 4" in comic book form!

I can't believe I forgot this one from the 80s but Sledge Hammer. Only lasted for 2 seasons but I thought it was absolutely hilarious and I still watch the reruns on MeTV.

if we are talking meTV, I watch WonderWoman for Linda Carter's incredible...acting.

Karen Sisco. I love Carla Gugino.
I concur!!! She was just in a show on Showtime last year called "Roadies". Not sure if you caught it but I thought it was pretty good. Of course I would watch anything she was in. Hopefully they bring the show back for a second season but I don't think they are.

I was at the casino playing poker and we were talking about famous people we played poker against. this one kid says that I didn't play poker against her but I was at a eatery in NYC and was just finished when carla Gugino came in. My friend and I sat at our table and waited until she was finished eating before we left. I couldn't blame him.
