I was watching when it happened and I thought it would be something serious. Sucks for that kid and their fans, I still remember Devo going down and realizing our season was messed.

I haven't watched a ton of UNC this year, but based on his stats, it doesn't look like he will be a huge loss. Statistically he doesn't really do anything on the court, he takes just 13% of shots when he's on the court, and he is just used in 14% of possessions. Watts, who looks like his backup, has a slightly higher offense rating.

sounding like he was maybe their best defender--for a team that struggles (to put it nicely) on defense. so yeah, could spell trouble for the 'heels.

He is a driving guard, shooting 57% , great for a guard,mostly on drives.

But he isn't an outside threat, he's attempt 1 3 all season. By comparison, Dion shoots 58% on 2pt FGs.

Terrible for the kid but UNC is far from done. If Marshall had gone down, sure that would have been devastating to their chances. But they can still be one heck of a team without Strickland. They still are one of the 7 or 8 teams with a great chance to make the FF4.
