If petrino ended up at utsf then the acc should invite them right away and as long as he wouldnt use usf as a stepping stone then id be all for it. Its a bit drastic but hey drastic times call for drastic measures haaa. But then again who knows how fsu and miami would react too thaz

Tim Beckman left Toledo for Illinois after the 2011 season. Don't know who the coach was this year.

I wonder if this is the one school that Marsh doesn't have a carefully thought out opinion about.

Seems like a "safe" hire. A little lower profile than Skip was and, obviously, a lot lower profile than the motorcycle dude. It's not a good year for a non-high-profile program to be hiring.

He should be there for a while ... which is a good thing for mUSF, though the locals will be looking for a quick fix.
