Going for week one weekend of the tournament to watch at the sports book. Always been intrigued by the idea of that but never done it.
Has anyone been during tourney time?
I can’t wait to people watch
Ha ya I don’t but I’ll look it up. My buddy who is a “client service rep” at MGM said it’s a complete shtshowWell, that didn't work. If you do have FB, go to their group, and the very first post from dude named Barry, is the FAQs. Should have everything you need. Reviews are towards the bottom.
I’m staying at Mandalay but not sure where to hit up, will be researching later. There are a couple hotels that do huge parties in their ballrooms with open bars and food for a set fee. I have always found that the sports books are so crowded on that weekend it can be a bit too much to handle. Fun for sure but gotta find the right spots.

For cusetroop
When you go... pace yourself

6 ways to stay sane during March Madness in Las Vegas
lol I'm pretty good at many things... pacing myself is not one of them
Just... wow. I am an early riser and headed down to the sports-book around 4:45-5:00. The level of loser is at epic levels. I made the joke that I wish there was an over under bet for the combined fico/IQ of the room... which I’d bet the farm on the under
Will say it has been fun as hell and the shear number of stumbling drunks by 11:00 is like the beach at Normandy numbers. Reminds me of the opening seen from saving private Ryan. Guys dropping left and right.
Men outnumber women 100-0 essentially
Do recommend however if you can keep yourself together
Ya I mean I’d recommend the experience of watching the tourney somewhere in Vegas , wouldn’t necessarily recommend mandalay to anyone though moving forward.I wish I had noticed this last week because I did a huge group trip for first weekend from 2014-16 and we all met up at Mandalay Bay. They used to have a good viewing area near their lounge with large projector tvs and every game playing. By 2016 they changed it up and made it weird. It was fun because we'd have up to 20+ people and we'd all come and go throughout the day but there would always be someone from the group in the area. Talk of re-starting the trip next year though probably not at Mandalay.

I use the mgm point B S thing. The clientele in attendance there was not my cup of tea to be honest... but tons of groups and if you plan enough in advance can reserve tables and such. Also caught a vicious head cold there so that was sweet on top of us losing. But the people watching is pretty amazing if you’re into that
