After reading that ad nauseum thread on how TGD screwed us with the (supposed) home and home scheduling of ND at the Meadowlands, it got me to thinking about the actual game next year. I drove to the last two games there, but I am thinking how nice it would be to hop on a bus from Manley and have a nice not-driven-by-me 5 hour ride to Joisey. (I went the bus route to the first Pinstripe Bowl but that was a death march to and from--never again! Mostly due to getting in and out of NYC.) So--was there a charter from Syracuse? Never too early to plan, you know.

We rode on a bus from Caz Limo and the trip was excellant. If you use this charter you must buy your tickets seperate which is no problem as Texan Mark usually reserves 2 0r 3 great sections well ahead of time .just keep monitoring this site and you will know when. ......Go Orange!!!!

Hmmm, this may interest me.

They have nice buses...they should have Internet too. It is a boomerang trip...down n back the same day.

Thanks for the responses. I'll be keeping an eye out on this board over the next several months for Texan Mark to make his usual timely and helpful ticket announcements. I will also be checking with Cax Limo and J and J as well. Glad to see that a seed was planted in OburgOrange's head with this thread: Our team will need all the fan support it can get for that game. Let's hope we can at least outnumber Biting Irish fans on the buses coming down from Syracuse!

They have for the last 2 MetLife games. I know some of the people that run the jandjtours buses, and have taken them a couple of times. They do a fine job and if you are looking for value for your money, this is the way to go if you want to go the bus route.

I really enjoyed the games there, however, it is starting to get cost prohibitive for me. After satying in hotel, meals, tickets x 4, time off from work, buying seasons , it is starting to add up. i would still like to attend, so , maybe this is a viable option. I would rather spend this $ on our next bowl game trip! ;)

Hmmmmm... any interest?
Just checked J&J website. They are advertising the Notre Dame trip on 9/27/13??? And, it is 175$ including tic and tailgate. IMHO, i think you could do it cheaper doing a private bus, buying tics from Mark (awesome seats and tailgate). I dont know, just throwing it out there. Maybe use Central Square as a jump off point! ;)

You know, it really is kind of early for this stuff, but I would be willing to investigate this further--maybe with Caz Limo. Thanks for the info from J and J--at least we have a basis for comparison. And I agree that I would much rather get my tics and tailgate info from our illustrious away/bowl game (I know, I know...MetLife is supposed to be a home game) guru.

While I like the idea of a Central Square jump off (I live 6 miles away), parking becomes a problem--where?--at the Walmart?--I don't think so. I took the death-march bus to the first Pinstripe Bowl, and the Manley lot was the pick-up and drop off point. Lots of free parking and relatively safe (lots of lights and patrolled by campus police). My car was there for two days without a problem. So I would assume Caz Limo has some kind of agreement with the University to use the Manley lot when they are transporting fans to an SU event.

I especially like the idea of trying to pack a bus with SyrFan.com fans and their friends/relatives. Probably need to have a minimum of 40 to charter a bus. I'll look into it over the next few weeks unless somebody feels more ambitious than me.

Caz Limo has plenty of parking at their location and we had no problem getting on and off 690 which is very convenient. You will not get better seats than Texan mark reserves for us.Plus the bus driver cooked hamburgs & hotdogs at the tailgate.Plus we brought food with us also.We had 2 full buses.I will be going that way again this year with my wife and daughter.

Sounds like my "investigation" is not needed. Thanks for the update, RC!

Why isn't there a SyracuseFan.com bus?
Cool...I nominate ALL4SU to set it up!

Seriously maybe I can get with Caz and set up something. A boomerang trip.
