Anyone else been watching the on field progress, off field culture progression, weight room gains and recruitment revitalization occurring and just get the feeling that “this is how its done”. Something great, and long lasting, is being built in Syracuse NY.

Dino and staff quietly continue chugging along upward, and I have a feeing that we’re in for a very very special next few years.

Another understated result has been the alumni slowly starting to comeback and be interested in the program again.

Wonder if we can get superbowl chanpions Dwight Freeney and Art Jones heres to talk to players/attend a game soon.

I'm pretty sure Art Jones lives in the suburbs of Cuse so that shouldn't be to hard if they want him

I think they either get close of break top 40 in recruiting for class of 2020
This is everything. We consistently need this year after year. We need a handful of 4 star players every year to do this. I have complete faith in dino.

Loving every minute of it. Really feel like we are poised to break out and if they can capitalize on the opportunity in front of them this season, this program could really take off. Need to come out guns freaking blazing though, with absolutely no mercy and no looking back.

As Coach Babers and his Staff continue to build Syracuse University Football back into a consistent winner and the program becomes more established in the ACC, we the fan play a very important part in that continued upward spiral. Syracuse University has a storied tradition in football and during the last sustained period of success for Syracuse Football, the packed Dome was indeed the twelfth man. Teams hated to come here and play because the noise and atmosphere of a packed Carrier Dome was daunting. I for one hope the 2019 season is the beginning of long period of visiting teams just hating to come to Syracuse to play. Keep up the hard work Syracuse University Football Players, Coach Babers and Staff. Fans lets do our part and return that atmosphere to the Dome that visiting teams just dread. Go Orange!!!!!!!!

If we can average a crowd like we had for Louisville thatd be cool, then start selling out multiple times eventually

I sat one row in front of Art Jones and his family at the SU-Notre Dame game in Yankee Stadium.

Need to average 40K+.

Doing so will have such an impact in many ways -- it will be impressive to recruits, it will provide us with greater home court advantage, it will generate additional revenue for the athletic department, and it will provide support to our coaches, players, and program.

If we want to retain Babers long-term, packing the Dome will be an important part. I get the sense that the fanbase is jazzed after last season, and now fully understands that this head coach is exceptional -- and the product he is putting on the field is going to get us back to where we belong.

I am coming in to Syracuse from Chicagoland for two games this year, instead of one, with at least 6 other CUSE fans hoping to assist in reaching the best home average in years. Think the team will average 44K in 2019 and that may possibly be the new Dome seating number when renovations are done in 2020.

Winning brings in over 40K, impress recruits, provide home field advantage, generate revenue, which hires coaches, budgets to recruit, go to bowls, increase TV ratings/revenue, which begets winning. It all starts with winning, crowds are a result not the cause.

No kidding. But now we ARE winning, which makes it time for the fanbase to do their part.

Fanbase is already starting to do just that -
see: Llvll game, Camping World Bowl game.
Orange Nation was out in force.

Assuming we don't faceplant against Liberty or the Fighting Locksley's, the Clemson game will be a sellout, and the dome will be the Loud House home field advantage that Dino spoke about the day he first addressed the fans.

We already have. Attendance increased significantly last year because we were winning onto a 10-3 yr. Season tickets this off season are way way up. Camping World Bowl was a sea of orange.
Now what?

The news trickling back from the SU ticket staff is good. 40 k average might be setting bar low. Meant to be a reply to RFs post.

Great to hear. I'm not suggesting we're going to have sellouts every game [especially not for some of the unattractive early games on the schedule every year], but it important to take the next step with respect to attendance. Can't have the team coming out to crowds where more than 1/3 of the Dome is empty anymore.

I'd love to see a higher number than 40K per home game. I think we'll DEFINITELY get closer to full for some games on the schedule, I just want to see the fan support appropriate to us having a good product on the field again.

Per 721's post above, you could feel the momentum building toward the end of the year -- and the bowl attendance was something to behold. Babers and staff are making SU football a fun spectacle again, and the casual segment of the fanbase is beginning to catch on.

Now, put 40K or more in the Dome every game - that's what.

The Camping World Bowl was a great sight to see. Let's not pretend that every home game was "a sea of orange" -- many of them were a sea of aluminum colored empty seats. Babers comes out before they run out of the tunnel every game, looking up at the crowd. He mentioned numerous times that he was disappointed in the crowd turnout, and how important it is to pack the dome for a variety of reasons.

The bowl game attendance suggests that more of the fanbase -- outside of the several thousand die hards who showed up even when the team stunk -- are starting to feel the buzz. Awesome. Next step: fill the stadium to give the team the support it deserves, to drive up revenue, and to impress recruits.

Not sure what you're disagreeing with.
