Per ESPN.com, we are opening as 17.5 point favorites vs. Liberty.

Unless I'm forgetting some recent away game against a total cupcake, I feel like it's almost certainly been a very long time since we have been this big of a favorite on the road against anyone.

Without looking, I'd have to guess some Temple game when we were in the Big East.

In 2004, we played at Buffalo the game after we got destroyed by Purdue. That is my guess.

i wouldnt bet Nebraska -34 against Liverpool High School.
They are the preseason favorite in the. Big Ten West and are playing a garbage South Alabama team who lost 4 OL and their QB from last year.

Nebraska plays at Colorado week 2. They will want a big win and Frost will run the score up as he is an Osborne guy.

I studied these games and like these favorites to win big. Syracuse is one that scares me the most because it’s a true road game and we could be up big and just give up points to Hugh Freeze and win but not cover.

I still have inferiority complex because of our recent road games history l, so I get that. I don't think Nebraska is there yet..but Im probably wrong.

That’s because you haven’t read all the glowing press about Frost. After he takes a 4-8 team to 13-0 and the college playoff he will part the Red Sea and turn water into wine
just like every other messiah that enters corn country

Never bet Lovie Smith
They are playing Akron. Again people research this stuff. Akron lost their QB and hired a new coach installing a new system.
Illinois is going to win that easy.

buffalo in 04 we were -15
rutgers in 01 we were -25
tulane in 2011 we were -10
temple in 2000 we were -10

thats all the double digits favs since 2000

Curious -- what website do you use that has all this historical data? Thanks.

I hear you. I know we are a different team now under Dino but all of those close calls against teams we should have beaten easily in the past (Villanova in 2014, Central Michigan in 2015, Uconn in 2016, etc...) still gives me pause. I think Liberty will keep this close for a half until we make adjustemnts and pull away. I hope I am wrong and we totally dominate from start to finish.

For whatever it’s worth, we lost our starting QB in the first half of both the Nova and CMU games (Hunt because he was being an idiot, Dungey because he took a cheap shot). And in 2016, we were only a 4-8 team, so any win on the road was a good thing.

I was in AC yesterday and put $20 down on Cuse over Liberty. I was very disappointed to see that they aren’t offering total wins at any of the casinos.

I'm taking Liberty. We win by 17 exactly. You heard it here first.

Thanks for the tip, Eddie Mush.

I have SU in a 6 team parlay week 1.

Clemson -34
SU -17.5
Nebraska-34
Illinois -16
Alabama -31.5
Michigan -31

It pays 4000 for 100 I spent.

What source do you use for the bets?
