Muhammad at the Hoophall Classic

Shabazz Muhammad (Las Vegas/Bishop Gorman)
2012, SF, 6-6, 215 pound
He possesses an incredible combination of explosive athleticism and sheer strength. That power is maximized by the fact that he always goes hard -- whether it be running lanes in transition, attacking the rim, or creating space on the perimeter with rips and pivots. While the majority of his scoring still comes in close proximity to the rim, he's a matchup nightmare who overpowers smaller defenders in close and blows right by bigger men on the perimeter.

Thunder GM Sam Presti wouldn’t consider a Westbrook deal for Chris Paul, so why would he entertain a Rondo deal? Westbrook’s relationships with coach Scott Brooks and Durant have had their moments, but the young point guard’s rapidly become a top-10 player in the NBA. Presti and assistant GM Troy Weaver drafted him fourth overall, when no one else in the league would’ve done that. They discovered him, raised him and they think they’ll win titles with him.

Not a very good showing for Grant on ESPN U
Shabazz made mince meat of DeMatha. The kid, I should say man, is just as sharp off the court too, take a listen (at 28 seconds) . I wonder if we have ever taken a run at him? Hop was at that game when Muhammad was doing his damage. SM impacted the game like Carmelo did at Oakhill against LeBron and others.

It was SM's first big national showcase, he got a rave review from this observer.

This is how he ended the game!

More likely a West Coast Guy, with a UNLV lean . A Horace Broadnax type from the old CNYCL days (For you Old Timers)
