Syracuse fans shouldn’t fret if they don’t get a commitment from Nerlens Noel later today because the Orange don’t simply don’t need him. Without Noel, Jim Boeheim can still enter next season with a starting front court of C.J. Fair and Rakeem Christmas and bring Baye Moussa Keita and stud freshman Dajuan Coleman off the bench. That’s more than enough talent up front for Syracuse to be a Top Five team nationally at the start of next season.

Juanita Ward: Where is she now?

Any “recruiting guy” who says he has some news from a “source” is funny, too, because the source would have to be me or my mom and they’re not talking to her and I don’t talk to anyone. Like I always say, only believe what you read here.
Noel Reminds me alot of Dion with those words.

I hate their slideshows as a general rule. It's just a way to artificially pump up their page views. Sometimes, they get flat-out ridiculous.

Yeah like "64 predictions for the NCAA tournament." They're all 1 line, 64 different pages.

Good piece by that guest blogger. Although economically SU had to move to the ACC, and the basketball team WOULD suffer eventually due to the income disparity, he is right that there is a piece of our identity as a program that will be gone when we make the move. No more Georgetown, or UConn, or Villanova or St. John's. Those were great rivalries that made that league.

Being in the ACC, with a mish-mash divisional lineup, will hinder establishing new rivalries. They really ought to make it the "North" / Old Big East conference alignment, and that would do much to make this a strong new opportunity. Being in a division with Clemson and Florida State won't generate the fan interest that renewing rivalries with Va Tech and Miami would have right out of the gate.

Too bad they don't seem to "get" this yet. It will help the Tobacco Road teams all reconnect to THEIR old rivals, too, whose relationships they are similarly worried about watering down.
