Cascade Women's Division I Media Poll: Top Eight Remain, Duke Re-Enters Top 20

The top eight remain intact, as No. 9 USC and No. 10 Penn switch spots to round out the top ten this week.

No. 11 Syracuse leads the latter half of the top 20, narrowly escaping No. 16 Virginia Tech, 12-11, in overtime on Sunday.

No. 20 Duke re-enters the top 20, making the jump from receiving votes after downing No. 15 Boston College, 15-12, in ACC action.

Division I Coaches Poll for April 10, 2017

The University of Maryland remained undefeated at 13-0, and remained number one in the IWLCA Division I Coaches Poll with all 20 first place votes. The second through eighth ranked teams in the poll remained in place this week, as the only movement in the top ten was Penn (9-2) who tied Southern California (11-3) for the ninth spot. Notre Dame (10-5) and Syracuse (11-4) flip flopped at #11 and #12, while Denver (10-2) and Towson (9-4) are tied at #13, and Virginia (7-7), and Northwestern (7-6) held their positions. Duke (7-6) jumped back into the rakings at #20, knocking out Elon (8-5), who continues to receive votes.

Big games on tap during the week include #7 Princeton at #1 Maryland, Penn State (#5) at Northwestern (#16), and Colorado (#6) at #T-9 USC. The top twenty action continues on Saturday when #12 Syracuse visits North Carolina (#2), Duke (#20) travels to Northwestern (#16), and Virginia (#15) hosts Louisville (RV).
