the Clippers are on fire right now, and two things that separate them from seasons past are bench play and defense. Wes is right in the middle of both. Check out this clip from the big win against the Spurs in San Antonio a couple of weeks ago:
Wes begins the clip defending David Lee on the left block, then he switches to cover Kyle Anderson and has to switch again to cover Ginobli, whose shot he blocks at the end of his drive. Covering a center, a SF and a SG through multiple switches . . . the block is the only thing that shows up in standard defensive stats, and its the least impressive thing he does defensively!
