I mentioned it in the game thread, albeit to much less fanfare than it's own thread.

The funny thing was he didn't use that huge wingspan, if I remember correctly they were tiny, little wings. I'm not sure if it was a taunt, but if it was it was a good one!

It also could be his unique way of saying that boy Jerami can fly!!! Either way, I had a big smile on my face wondering what Baye's antics were about.

I think things were getting pretty chirpy on the court and BC was talking a lot trash. Cooney hit a nice layup and BC called a time out and when the players were headed to the bench Cooney turned to a BC player and said something. Boeheim then motioned to a bunch of his players to get over to the bench. A little after Keita made the dainty flying eagle motion. I think the SU players had had enough with BC's yapping.

I think this hits the nail on the head. Saw the same things with Cooney turning to fire back at the BC player, and with JB calling everybody back to the bench. And this would make Baye's little flapping-and-yapping eagle move even more excellent.

Therefore, I choose this truth.

We need some well-timed swagger. I think the perception is that we are not fiery enough or aggressive enough sometimes. Good to see Cooney and BMK bringing that to the table.

I didn't see much, but there was enough to make think that there was more going on than just some everyday smacktalk. There was also a lot of contact down low in the blocks on most plays.

I think BC was pretty impressed with themselves when they were leading in the 2nd half and once Syracuse took the lead, Cooney had some words for his opponents. Plus, I don't think I've ever seen Baye taunt an opponent (and truthfully, even this is pretty minor). I just thought something might have been up and BC woofing would be a pretty basic explanation.

I noticed it, too. I think part of their plan was to try to get into our guys' heads and our guys had enough of it - 'specially after JG's flight display.

totally agree. think about our kids there really isn't an outspoken kid on the team other then BMK and maybe Coleman. Most are very soft spoken, I don't mind seeing us get chippy one bit.
