From 1900-1999, the Deacons were the 109th and worst while Syracuse was the 22nd winningest major college football program in the country.

Since we joined he ACC, we have the worst record in the conference, 22-52 coming into this season. Wake isn’t a lot better at 28-52. But in head to head contests, we’ve won 5 and lost 4, (6-5 since 2008), but we’ve lost 4 of the last 6, including the last two:

- Wake has a healthy quarterback. We don’t. That’s a huge difference, and probably the decisive one. Even if both were healthy, Wake would have the edge:

- We’re supposed to be the better rushing team but during our four game losing streak we have rushed for 305 yards, 76 per game. Wake just rushed for 170 yards against UNC.
- If there was ever a game for our beleaguered defense to finally give way, this is it.
- We waited three years to finally get Louisville back to the Dome and look what happened. Wake has waited three years to get us back into their place.
- We started out to be the 2018 team and have turned into the 2020 team.
