WOLVERINES!!....AMC

Nobody puts Baby in a tank.

I forgot how cool Powers Boothe was in this flick.

I forgot how easy it is for high school kids to overtake the Russians and cubans. Avenge me!!

What the hell is everybody talking about?

Michigan is playing on AMC.

Did Michigan get some great recruiting classes from '85-'89 ? I'm being serious. It was contagious. Hmm...

Flashbacks to Reagan-era, Cold War America, & my unrequited lust bunny, Jennifer Grey!
Go Red Dawn!!!
Dude don't you remember Jennifer pre nose job she was cute but lust bunny?

He was probably like 14, give him a break. Plus weren't those Nicaraguan tanks?

If you're between the ages of 35-45 put on AMC
Whoaaa... you don't need to be any age to appreciate a classic like Red Dawn.

Secondly, The tanks got their via the Bearing Strait and the land bridge from Cuba to Montana, geography was never Hollywoods strong suit.

Thirdly, this movie made me hope for a Russian invasion on Syracuse NY as I was growing up. I thought it totally feasible at the time due to the importance of I90 and I81 intersecting in the area. Only problem would be I only owned a bb gun so I would have been pwned by a Kalashnikov.

I'm 98% positive Nicaragua has never produced a tank. Thusly, it was Russian, probably a T-80. This took place in the 80's and I didnt see a single M1 Abrams out there... which was created for the steppes of Russia, which would have ruled house on the plains of Montana. Movies are effin BS.

Exactly.
At that age even the crack of dawn seems appealing!
There was no logic to my lusting for Jennifer...(sigh) ;)

The cuban and nicaraguan armies came up through mexico and were supplied by the soviets...at least that's what the colonel said

How many tanks has Iraq produced? They still somehow managed to make 3000+ of them appear in our gunsights in 1991.

Also the battle in question was in Colorado, but I get your point.

Oh they definitely probably own tanks but of the russian sort.

The scene where they talk to their father through the fence was as emotional a scene as you'll ever see. Definitely got snubbed during award season.

It's movies like that that reinforce just how awesome the 80's were. I honestly am beyond thankful that I was lucky enough to be an 80's kid. I tell my son all the time how bad I feel for him that he has to watch today's cartoons and shows.
