Makes you wonder how strong of guiding and trusting circle this young man has and not because he picked the school he did. Seems extremely early, surprised a parent(s) would support that. Hopefully the young man gets sound counseling as he continues. I never like seeing these really early commitments. Hard to believe they are fully informed decisions. Good luck to the young man.

He and the two 2020s that verballed there today. These kids should take their OVs. See what else is out there before making a commitment. This is why so many will decommit and/or flip.

Maybe the young guy got caught up in the excitement with the 2020s and just launched...agree with him taking his officials...good luck to him. There is still allot to see.

I think there is probably a lot of that on these Junior Day visits. They get so excited and then one kid commits and it becomes the thing to do at the moment.

PSU had a 4 star WR decommit today.

Penn State football's first committed prospect from the 2021 class, Dont'e Thornton has de-committed from the Lions on Thursday.

Rivals said we have offered Thornton a scholarship prior to his commitment to PSU. Maybe the staff will take a run at him.

True Sophomore so should have 2 years. Consensus top 100 kid.

  Work ethic has never been a question for Mount St. Joseph (MD) wide receiver Dont’e Thornton as he and teammate Ausar Crawley took in two-a-days this week. The 6-foot-5, 205-pound wide receiver looked to improve on his 4.63 40 time from spring of 2019, so following their 5:30 AM workout, the duo hit the field on Tuesday to test their improvement ahead of skill work.
  Thornton posted a 4.43, 4.43 and 4.47-second in the laser timed 40 yard dash.
