This kid was an outfielder in college and the Yankees need a 2nd baseman so like a ton of coaches in other sports they go the conversion route. Rob Ref is at this time a better hitter than Beltran. Why try to force the rectangular peg into a round hole? Make Beltran a coach in the minors. He has experience that would translate well to young kids, including telling the kids that at the end of their career when their body is old and broken there will always be a stupid GM who will give you money and length in a dumb contract provided you best years are good enough to make that GM that if you don't break down your numbers will be satisfactory to justify the new contract. You only need to hope that Brian Cashman is around somewhere ti make this scenario possible or likely. Forget trying to make Refsnder a 2nd base man and put him in the outfield and call him up to play there.

$15 million for 2015.

$15 million for 2016.

That's a really expensive minor league coach.

7 errors so far this year.

he has been on a tear last 2 weeks, raised his avg from .217 to .276

at least he makes up for his 0 HR total with 1 stolen base.

so recap Refsnyder...streaky hitter with NO glove, NO speed and NO power.

call him up!!...

i mean its not like the Yanks are in 1st place and rolling right now, start the roster turn over ASAP...

wait......

Why stop there, Cali?

Let's also address the bullpen problems before they bring this season crashing down. Time to cut ties with Tex as well, as he's killing this team with his consistent production at the plate.
