Had the misfortune to watch ESPN's Sports Center this morning, looking to gloat in SU's victory.

Was treated instead to the Canucks-Flames super-fight (OK, OK, I understand its superior entertainment value), followed by more story-of-the-day Manning-Brady Diaries. But then we get to basketball, and it's the Big 12-Big 10 show?!? OK, so there were upsets (how ESPN loves upsets!), and Wisky gets beat twice in the week, OK, I get it.

But then the menu scroll on the left of the screen shows SU-Pitt highlights coming up soon. . . . then next. . .

AND THEN IT GETS SKIPPED!! What?!? Did we spend too much time on the Brinkus science-of-Seattle's-12th-man re-run???

Think of the multiple entertaining storylines you overlooked:
  • The SU-Pitt Big East Wars are now part of the ACC -- it says so right on the court hardwood.
  • Two top undefeated ACC teams duke it out for league leadership.
  • Two Big East teams are leading the ACC, relegating the Blue Devils and Tar Heels to also-rans.
  • SU beats the only coach and team that knows how to beat The Zone.
  • And A Freshman Shall Lead Them, taking them on his back in the last two minutes.
Oh, but I forgot -- you didn't pick Tyler Ennis in your Top Four Freshmen to watch throughout the year, therefore he doesn't exit. And Pitt didn't provide the upset you were hoping for to make it a featured story. But to not mention the game at all????

C'mon, man!-VBOF

ESPN seems not aware that the sun shines somewhere else before they get up. That being said, I was stuck watching the Ok St / Kansas game - which I initially pouted over - and it turned into a hell of a game.

Syracuse led sports center last night. Followed by high lites of 10 different college games. It is the NFLs day...with that said I hate it when a topic I care about is on the ESPN scroll down bar only to be skipped after I patiently waited. Been burned by that a'plenty.

Stuck? It was on a different network. Find a remote control man!

There's no primary ESPN feed where I live. I get only what gets picked up by another network. Their NFL pregame show is on regularly, but I refuse to watch that.

Also ESPN as part of the coverage said something to the effect of they have been looking at the top freshman all season, and it is time to add Tyler Ennis to that list. They showed several of his plays along with that statement!! Uh hello!! Took you a while but you got there.

I can't even imagine a place without an espn feed...

I had no problem with their coverage last night. The only thing I couldn't get my hands around, though, was HOW THE HECK DID GRANT'S THROW DOWN PUT BACK DUNK NOT MAKE THE TOP TEN?!

Oh Lord

The media hates us. It's a conspiracy. Even though 98% of the nation's media is comprised of Newhouse grads, they are brainwashed into hating the Cuse once they leave the Hill.

My theory is that if they tell everyone Syracuse is the best, they have to go there to cover the games. And they would much rather be in Carolina than Syracuse in January and February. :)

Just watched the ESPN "Saturday hoops" item (as indicated in their left scrolling menu)

Three or four upsets, Uconn's coach getting tossed but nothing on the Cuse.
They showed hockey, MLB, NBA, etc.
I'd think they'd have time for a little love... 18-0 afterall.

I live on planet earth, so I get ESPN...and that's the only channel I ever really get any Syracuse related news from.

It's more than enough.

The highlights I saw yesterday and this am, were sufficient.

Don't know what time you were watching but I saw SU highlights last night and this morning. It was basically Patterson's 3's and Ennis's end of game buckets. As some one else posted, they also commented on adding Ennis to the top freshmen watch.

That explains your Cowtown handle.

SU basketball usually comes after Italian soccer league scores but usually before Curling highlights. Get used to it. It's been this way for years. I was hoping after moving to the ACC we would move up a rung or two with God's blessing.

I didn't know if you knew this but "Ennis is playing much more mature than his age."

Personally, I'm a little sick of hearing ESPN color commentators getting all excited when our opponents score but when our team scores their voice is just a above a whisper. I hate when announcers take sides. If the offense makes a good play you comment on the offense. When the defense makes a great play you comment on the defense. You stay impartial. You don't take sides! You don't make excuses for the offense when Syracuse gets a turnover. And you don't claim our baskets are "easy" or "cheap" MOTHER EFFFFERRR!!!!
