Las Vegas

Got back from a great trip a week ago.

Three days of pretty heavy gambling as far as time spent at the tables and only lost $180. Ironically did well at Aria and the losses were all at Park and NYNY.

The Sky Suites were great. If you stay there try to ask for an a room ending in 037 (I had 26037). They're positioned so you have mountain and strip views. The room was so much nicer than the basic suite you get; which is also still really nice.

The pool situation at some of the hotels is rough. There's a wait and reservation system due to limited capacity. The Sky Pool wasn't subject to those waits, just the main Aria pools.

Had great dinners Bavette's at Park, Carbone at Aria and Prime at Bellagio. Was amazed at the transformation of Park MGM. Monte Carlo was such a sad and lifeless casino and Park is pretty great. I would definitely stay at NoMad there in the future.

Everything was much more crowded than when I was there in October, but they're still really good about mask enforcement. Capacity restrictions are apparently going to be lifted to some extent in June. I'll be back there in June for a stay at Cosmo. I had actually thought about canceling because that's a short time, but as soon as I was checking out I couldn't wait to get back.

Also got to experience the revamped JetBlue mint product on the way home. The new menus and welcome cocktails are great. The welcome snack is a bit of a downgrade from before, but overall it's still a great way to fly. I can't wait to finally use the 400,000 points I've saved up to try the brand new Mint product to London.

I should be going to vegas in mid-may for 3-4 days. Any Cuse fans going to be in town then? CuseTroop I’m gonna need you to show me how it’s done at the craps table lol

I’ve been playing this Mlife game and I have enough points for a comp room at Aria/bellagio or I can stay 2 nights in Luxor or MGM. My last day is with my mom and her husband at some suite they have in one of the resorts I cant remember which one though

I had 3 or 4 guys high fiving and hugging me at a craps table at the Luxor. I was hammered but ladytroop said I went on a hell of a roll.

Plenty of folks here know vegas way more than I do, all four of those hotels are solid as far as I know. Everyone has their favorites for their own reasons. Only thing I’ll mention, Luxor and MGM are at the end of the strip. For some folks it makes it tough to explore the whole strip, lots of walking. Could always just walk until you don’t feel like walking, then Uber back tho.

Let me know when you figure out when you’ll be here!

I like the Luxor casino a lot.

Was back in Vegas a few weeks ago. Great deal at Nomad (under $500 for 5 nights inclusive of resort fees and taxes). Since I was there 5 nights I actually took a night to head downtown for the first time ever. Dinner at the steakhouse at Circa. It was fine. The hotel is nice, but their casino is basically a strip casino. Ended up playing at the Plaza until after 3AM. That was a lot of fun.

In the future I don't know that I'll be loyal to MGM. I'm platinum for the rest of the year, but with the changes to their loyalty program I'll never even hit their second level. I'll probably start booking directly through Chase to get 10x points.

I'll be back in July at Cosmo. Probably my last stay there before MGM ruins it. And I like MGM hotels/casinos, I just love Cosmo because unique and not an MGM casino.

Luxor is a dump as far as rooms go. MGM isn’t bad at all. Aria and Bellagio are much nicer than the other two but if you are thinking of coat I would say best value is two days at MGM. Aria is smoke free of memory serves.
