This probably makes sense for him. Probably better to go somewhere and start even if its GA State. Then if he plays well he can transfer elsewhere next season. Otherwise he is just hoping for an opportunity this season via injury.

Not sure about MUCH better but certainly could be better. I did post similarly in the other thread after considering both Jurkovic's and Vellieux's stats being bad last year and Vellieux was second string to start the season so he probably wasn't getting the same type of practice reps.

But what starting opportunities are out there still at this point? Maybe if an injury happened or something or who a team brought in they are unsure of and want someone else to compete with them? Maybe Veilleux is a little better than I thought. I think Pitt was just a train wreck last year...
