Absolutely. There is optimism with a team building depth with decent to very good players with some projects that could be great players. Im down with the plan. Assuming we get Leffew, I like what we’re doing.
that said. The optimism should live in reality. Reality such as … in all likelihood...
You are posting in a thread about Kadary Richmond and mad about people posting about Duke and Kentucky being interested in Kadary Richmond?
if its brought up in the Leffew thread, you have a better point.
if the posts questioning Kadary said “yeah hell of a player, not really in our price...
Not really the point.
We don't have to pretend certain players are better than others because of our current status. I understand we can't get a player of Kadary's current stature, but we don't have to pretend our current options are equal or better. It's bad faith arguing.
Yeah, wasn't suggesting you personally necessarily.
I get your point, but my counter is the lethargic stretches, etc. Those are build in to the numbers he produces. If he wasn't effective, we'd see that. Now can you suggest he isn't as good as he could/should be? Absolutely.
The scale works better in the NBA where you can compare players easier, but the general point remains.
There's some weird ones. Alan Griffin had an unreasonably high # due to him playing big mins when he played well and pulled when he sucked...so his metrics made him look amazing Per 100...
His Box Plus/Minus was 8.9 last year.
(Maliq was 7.4)
For context...
+10.0 is an all-time season (think peak Jordan or LeBron)
+8.0 is an MVP season (think peak Dirk or peak Shaq)
+6.0 is an all-NBA season
+4.0 is in all-star consideration
+2.0 is a good starter
+0.0 is a decent starter or...

JB disagrees with you. You think you know more than a Hall of Famer?
Absolutely. Never suggested otherwise.
Danny Hurley speaks about Calhoun and UConn history all the time even though he didn't go there and wasn't in the "FAMILY".
We should use the history and, to me, I love that Red is Syracuse through and through. That said, ultimately, his success...
This is all over the place.
1) Villanova "stayed in the family" and their team is in shambles. Any success going forward we have is on RED. Period. Not the family.
2) For the JB HATERS, We've won 0 games this year and haven't gone to the tourney in 3 years. Relax. I'm happy with the pick ups...
"Carlos is the third transfer to join head coach Adrian Autry. The second-year head man has also pulled in former Delaware wing Jyare Davis and Colorado big Eddie Lampkin. Both are expected to start this season."
I'll believe that when I see it.
Would be unwise IMO. Cuffe can play mins at this level. The more guys we have fighting for mins, the better.
bringing in a couple very good mid majors and a guy who's been hurt for 2 years and a starter who basically didn't play D last year shouldn't mean we're closing up shop for mins. I'm...
Correct. Feel free to look at the defensive metrics and point out what I said was incorrect.
Judah was 2nd Team All ACC this year. The "ALL" teams don't mean much to me.
He was.
We're dominating the CAA.

He's a point guard.
Good AST%. A negative offensive BPM for his career. Mediocre defensive stats.
Basically a slightly better shooter than Judah.
Played for Claxton so I'm sure he got some good PG tricks.
I don't know. Obviously doesn't bl0w me a way, but Leffew didn't either. As a...
DLo hit a million 3s, Davis played fantastic, Lebron was out of his mind.
Then towards the end the second I felt like they had a chance to blow it.was the Hach missed 3 and Austin missed 3. Both times Davis didn’t touch the ball.
Is what it is. The idea that we will be a regular Top 4 seed in the near future isn’t going to happen. Have to set expectations. I hoped otherwise when JB left. Doesn’t seem like it’s going to be doable
3 pt shooting and finishing for Maliq.
To answer above, I think Maliq would get less heat for “playing within himself” because he simply would not get passed to by Judah. Like nonstop on the pnr’s. When he played with Copeland, I thought he looked much more competent.
The whole offseason has had a real 2021 offseason vibe to it, unfortunately.
Complete with trashing the guys on the way out as bad seeds (not that some didn't deserve that label) and hoping the guys coming in are better than they are despite evidence to the contrary.
I'm still rooting for...
