Probably a fairly obvious point but I wonder if this bodes well for potential postseason success if we can get the right draw. We're obviously not going to outscore people often -- 3-10 when we give up more than 70 and two of the wins were games where we gave up just 71.
It's worth noting that we lost seven games last year when we held opponents under 70. We actually lost five games when we held an opponent to 60 or less.
So as brutal as it has looked at times this offense is actually better than last season (not saying much). But if we can defend decently we should have a chance against most of the teams we play. The issue is if we run into a 1-seed early and that is a team from the ACC, which could have three of them.
Again, not sure what this means exactly but it feels like we don't have to make it as much of a rock fight as we had to last year when we won three tourney games without eclipsing the 60-point mark. A little more margin for error defensively would be nice.
