2015 Summer Camp Schedule and Visitors

Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse will host its second one-day camp of the summer on Saturday, and it's clear linebackers coach Clark Lea will have the most interesting group of prospects to work out.

Colonia (N.J.) High School's Solomon Manning and Aquinas (Rochester, N.Y.) Institute's Jamir Jones both head to SU with scholarship offers already in hand.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Manning is rated three stars and the No. 41 outside linebacker in the 2016 cycle by 247Sports.com's composite rankings. His offer sheet also includes North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and Old Dominion, among others, after recording 100 tackles, five sacks and two forced fumbles last season, according to NJ.com.

Manning, who informed Syracuse.com of the visit via Twitter direct message, recently told NJ.com's Todderick Hunt that he plans on making a commitment decision by Monday. His visit was first reported by Mike McAllister of CuseNation.com.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Jones is rated three stars and the No. 64 outside linebacker in the 2016 cycle by 247Sports.com's composite rankings. His offer sheet also includes Pittsburgh, Boston College, Rutgers, Connecticut and Old Dominion, among others.

Jones is considered by some to be an outside linebacker/defensive end prospect and others as an athlete who could play either side of the ball, according to USA Today. His older brother, Jarron Jones, was a Class of 2011 defensive tackle that SU coveted. He ultimately chose Notre Dame.

Jamir Jones announced his trip to Syracuse on Twitter.

Here's a look at some other expected camp attendees for SU on Saturday:

Darius Gibson, C/O 2016 QB: The 6-foot, 185-pound Frank (Somerset, N.J.) High School junior has offers from Cornell and Harvard and is receiving interest from Army, Georgetown, Pennsylvania, Yale, and Ball State, he told RecruitingNewsGuru in May. He completed 51-of-132 passes for six touchdowns and eight interceptions last season, per NJ.com, and trains privately with former SU quarterback Madei Williams.

Jason Harrison Jr., C/O 2016 DB: The 6-foot, 185-pound Lincoln (Jersey City, N.J. High School junior holds offers from Liberty and Delaware State.
