I am very focused on this season, but one of the reasons why I don't think Dino will be going anywhere is the incoming players and outlook of our future. I think Dino sees we are just a play or two away from legitimately being in playoff conversation. Wild to think about, but Dino has worked so hard in 3 years getting our program to this position and we are just on the cusp.

What that tells me is we need to land OL / DL and DBs

Trill and Melifonwu will be the replacement starters, then Coley and Cisco at safety, is my guess. Jonas could surprise everyone.

Where is Melifonwu and Cisco?

Also think Lakiam Williams will be higher on depth chart than that

Good breakdown but you left out our 2 most talented secondary players, Cisco @safety and Melifonwu @cb.

Wow. And as much of a weakness our secondary has been for years, it may shape up as a nationally recognized group in the years to come. these kids have size and are talented:)

We have Courtney Jackson at WR as well.

There are also a few OL, DL and at least 3 DB/S not on the list.

Even better is next years schedule

  • 08/31 - at Liberty
  • 09/07 - at Maryland
  • 09/21 - Western Michigan
  • 09/28 - Holy Cross
  • TBA - Boston College
  • TBA - Clemson
  • TBA - Pitt
  • TBA - Wake Forest
  • TBA - at Duke
  • TBA - at Florida State
  • TBA - at Louisville
  • TBA - at NC State

Road schedule, Maryland, Lville, FSU are in turmoil.

Duke will be tough, NCSt new QB.

The only monster on the schedule is at home as is what could be the second toughest opponent in BC.

Could set up to be a special year.

You know what I like? The number of OLinemen that have red-shirted in their careers.

I could be wrong, but I thought Jonas was a safety.

Also, Jake Pickard. Seems like he's in his third season as a senior this year. Too many injuries for him, unfortunately.

Not only the roster but the schedule set up is niiiiiiice.

@Maryland week 2 against what I bet will be a new staff.
@Liberty

Getting Clemson in the dome against what should be a much younger Tiger defense.

@Ncstate against a new QB.

Pitt, Bc Wake Western Mich. at the dome.

@FSU which could still be a complete shift show.

Crossover game @Duke which will be sneaky tough.

I really want to enjoy this year, but wow next year is setting up to have enormous expectations. If we close out this season strong I bet we will be ranked going into the season.

That WR and RB group is going to be ridiculous.

I have a buddy who is deployed overseas that has season tickets with me and a few others. He's bumming out a little because he's missed the last two games and will miss Louisville. I told him not to sweat it because he'll be home for next year's undefeated season. I was only half trying to to cheer him up.

The biggest area of concern to me is the offensive line, especially at the tackle spots. We are losing alot of D-1 starts on that line.

Second that. Looking at those charts, I'm very encouraged about most areas except OL scares me. Hopefully Cavanaugh can coach them up.

I think I counted 31 or 33 kids today on the two deep return next year plus Cordy if he wants to and both kickers.

Dino has worked hard to get the team to this point. He knows what’s cooking in the oven is ready to rise. Believe 1000% he’s not going anywhere so he can enjoy the fruits of his labor.

OL returnees will have 2 seasons and 2 springs plus a bowl month of practice under their belts with Cavanaugh. The guy is a professional. I’m confident.
