Who's driving? Triche has took it to the rim 3 or 4 times, MCW has twice, other than that we're settling for jumpers or just turning it over.

There's no room in the lane. CJ is flitting around the key for this reason. Turn this righ around on Beilen, Drive and dish.

Michigan fan here. Based on what we've done all season, there are things you can give us and things you can't.

1) We're not going to keep hitting 30 footers. Don't freak out about that. Don't extend the zone that far.
2) Also, McGary's not going to keep hitting free throw line jumpers. He'll hit a decent percentage, but not enough to kill you.

Those are things you can give us. Here's what you can't give us.

Can't give us open 3s on the wing. Don't collapse so hard on the ball at the free throw line.
Can't give us O rebounds. Gotta keep better tabs on McGary. Also, can't give him open passing lanes from the FT line. Especially to a guy under the rim. McGary's a great passer.
Can't give us transition. GET BACK ON D!

Good post. Early on I thought you were a bit confused with teh zone, but you were scoring in transition. Offensive rebounds were bad early on but we've been a little bit better towards the end.

The thing about the 3s, you're shooting like 35%, so it's not like you're lighting it up from deep. It's just those 30 footers that kill us.

The problem is our offense. We took some bad forced shots that came back in fast break transition baskets. Stop forcing and get better shots in the flow of our offense. Get some open looks for Southerland. MCW is not able to beat Burke off the dribble to get into the lane, except once. We need more ball movement and screens. CJ going 1 on 1 is not the answer.

As a sometimes coach, I was very impressed with him keeping the ball above his head and looking for that pass underneath. Textbook play.

It's not the percentage it is the fact that three of their three pointers were from FAR out. Take away those three shots and we are down by 2 points. If before the game you told me they would be forced to shoot 27 foot three pointers consistently I would have been happy. If they continue to make those shots they will win. We can play better on offense by being more aggressive and we need to rebound better. They have looked okay against the zone at times and other times have had to force shots. The zone hasn't been at its best, but IMO the real problem has been Michigan making DEEP threes.

Increase the aggressiveness on offense and rebound better.
