3-0 and what remains

Anyone else feel like if they click on all cylinders (stay healthy and catch passes and D continues to do what they do) that they can go undefeated? Am I the only insane person that believes that bc I truly do. There was prob 14 points dropped in the Purdue game. And other than maybe fSU giving them a serious problem, I truly think Syracuse is the better team of all the other games. I’ve watched every game of every acc opponent and that’s my real belief
Hahaha I kinda feel the same. The only game where I don’t feel we have much of a chance is FSU. I think Army, BC, VT are close to locks for us. I think GT and Wake we will definitely be favored. I think we have a good shot at Clemson, 50/50 with UNC and I think FSU will be favored by around 10 points. If we play our A game the rest of the season, limited injuries and defense keeps balling out and Shrader contours being a menace. I think we beat everyone not named FSU. If we do everything I just said, I think the FSU game will be close.

Can you imagine if we go into FSU 6-0 and they are undefeated too. After we come off wins against Clemson and UNC…pretty good chance gameday will be at that game and wouldn’t that be the MOST Syracuse thing ever. We’ve been begging for gameday and then we get a gameday game, but we are the away team. Sounds almost too Syracuse for it not too happen

I keep thinking we will be 6-1 and bowl eligible going into the bye.
But then again CL can also stand for Crazy Lady.
I don't think it's crazy. If we somehow get to 5-0, why wouldn't we be able to beat unc?

I'm not saying we will, certainly not saying it's a gimme, but why not us?

Not crazy at all.

This team is percolating something special.

BC looked great against FSU, but is was their red bandanna game, and it’s entirely possible FSU was in there sleep walking at the noon start on the road. The NIU loss and Holy Cross scare are what stand out more so to me. I think we handle them at home.
I read speculation that FSU had a flu bug going through the team.

More injuries are going to happen. Only 3 games in and our best receive is gone, 2 of our best players. Seems to be a regularly recurring problem at SU, and you wonder what is going on in the S&C program.

Shredder cannot do it all. Maybe he will prove me wrong. He could get injured, it happened last year, and he was rubbing his forearm / elbow in this past game.

No depth at RB. There is like 1 dude with carries.

Receivers do not suddenly start to catch. I mean, in the offseason, people do get better, but I think only in Hollywood does a bad receiver suddenly become a good receiver. We shall see. Need someone to step up and take advantage of the huge opportunity there.

To me, a 3 loss season is the orange colored glasses threshold, but I hope to be proven wrong.
Too early to say anyone is a bad receiver. Maybe they are. And maybe they aren't. Still to be decided in my opinion.

Not at all. What makes them a rival? They are within 5 hours? We just happen to play tight against them because we tend to be middling teams? I would put Pitt above them.

Why do you think they are a rival?
BC and Pitt are as close as we have now. That pretty much sums up college sports nowadays. When we no longer plated Penn State every year we lost our real rival. Old timers would say Colgate.

not much respect for Purdue but 4 of our future opponents are on here
If you’re 21st worst (43rd best) in the power 5 that probably puts you in the top half of FBS. Not great but not exactly an indictment worthy of being called one of the worst.

Shrader goes we go. If he goes down, the goal is 6 wins however we can. With GS, 8-10 wins can't be discounted. he's that good.

Yeah, that's how I feel. With Shrader, there isn't a reason we can't pull off an upset against Clemson or even FSU. He, like Dungey was, makes us a very dangerous team. However, without him, we're very average. That's why I believe we always need a dual threat QB.

My sense, after rewatching the Purdue game yesterday, is that they are better than many think. Their QB, despite the fumbles, was actually very good. I expect them to continue to get better. The Mob was just too much for them.
Yeah, Card looked like the real deal to me. He'll continue to get better.

It's not crazy, crazy lady.

But it will be a much taller task than last year's 6-0. If we lose the few games in the middle where we won't be favored, then so be it, but the key this year is to have a better November. Especially given the softness of the schedule.

Unfortunately they are not because Dabo doesn’t believe in NIL or the portal. You can tell by watching them that they are not nearly as explosive and don’t have the dudes that they used to. Dabo and Saban are suffering from the same thing. Failing to adapt to the new CFB landscape thinking they could continue to win with what they did before. They can’t.

Agreed and I think the game of musical chairs at OC may have finally caught with Saban as well. QB and O line seem to be a real issue as well.

I think Clemson will play FSU tough but don't see them winning. I think we can beat Clemson but agree I don't see winning on the road versus UNC or FSU.

Alabama went from Jalen Hurts to Tua to Bryce Young to a battle between Austin Wilson and Mitch Kimble.

They were due for a dud. You started at Jalen but they also had McIlroy, McCarron then a couple “down” years with Simms and Coker (both were 3000+ guys with 2.5-1 TD ratios) before then. Then they came right back with the Hurts, Tua, Jones, Young pipeline.

It’s incredible how long it took them find a real dud.

yeah I don't disagree with 8-4 but I just don't see the loss to BC
We are more likely to lose to GA Tech than BC. GT's new coach is pretty good. That being said, I expect to have two wins. GT will be a close one and we will blow out BC from the start. BC can keep it close on the first quarter. 35-10 SU wins.

Yikes. Blogporn. I'm in!

Yeah Ga Tech has played Louisville and Ole Miss, not like they are 1-2 against stiffs. I think their D leaves a lot to be desired but King is a good QB and I agree about their coach. We aren’t losing a home Friday night game to the likes of BC
