Trying to figure out why it doesn't feel terrible

When teams score a lot and score almost all the points, that's when you feel awful. Yesterday, we scored 30℅ of the points. Bad but not nightmarish

Getting 33℅ of yards feels pretty terrible though

But it's like 450 to 226 in a normal game. Pretty bad but in the realm of usual crappiness

It's going to take some getting used to. Everything is amplified

Our punter was allowed to take the field last night. It was disheartening.

Basic math, more possessions mean more opportunities for scores and yards.

Any style you play if you are inefficient on offense and give up big plays on defense you get boat raced.

The fact that they had multiple opportunities to make it a one score game was actually shocking. The only way they get to six wins this year is up their scoring % because there isn't much they can do on defense this year.

People think it's 1994 and think 60 points is a big deal.

We got blitzed in the beginning and end and in the middle we saw a glimpse of the future. And it was fun.

I think this take is spot on, Go.

prior years, we would've done the old "they're better than us per play therefore we need fewer plays"

might've kept the margin smaller. but in the end, it's a loss either way. this way, they felt like they were in the game for a while and they build towards a confident identity where they plan on being better per play

If that one Louisville player catches that wide open pass that he probably grabs 99 out of 100 times, he waltzes in and UL has over 900 yards of total offense.

It's terrible, embarrassing and we need to stop this national embarrassment.

Embarrassing performance, yes. Just got to get to work and get it right.

Otto's right, by Sunday it'll be long since gone nationally, by Saturday night on the collegiate landscape.

There's a lot to be excited about.

How many wide open passes were dropped by Louisville receivers? If they caught some of them they would have taken them to the house.

And Petrino had to use the FLOPS to stall any momentum that SU had? good grief

More possessions and the ability to score quickly gives you more time to recover from mistakes. Last night was insurmountable. And yet... Within 14 in the 4th?!

Mack Brown was like "this team is scrappy and will cause s lot of trouble for teams in the ACC" ...

I think there was some flopping. Shoe guy especially.

The first quarter we looked lost. The 2nd and 3rd we were toe-to-toe competitive with them, and in the 4th we ran out of gas.

Strange to have a game where we were both within striking distance for such a long time, but also outplayed for lengthy stints. 4th Q was rough.

I thought going into the half that we had a chance to make up ground by wearing Louisville out on defense. But the offense sputtered to start the half and it just didn't happen. I think we wore ourselves out some.

Yeah, the game might have gotten really interesting if we'd managed to score on that opening possession of the third quarter, but we came out and stubbed our toe before we got back into a groove in our third possession.
