Last year I noticed that Bret became very susceptible to call strike threes looking to get on base with a walk. Yes ,he is good at that but not to the point he should walk back to the bench when the bat doesn't get a chance He has excellent speed. He may not have the speed that Micky Mantle had but enough that learning how to drag bunt his way to first should be a staple for him. Mantle did it often and he could bat a ball well over 400'n any given swing. Mantle was gifted but suffered at keeping himself healthy.Drinking heavy and worrying about dying early like his father and other members of his family of the male gender. He was a freak with his tenth and speed. As a kid he was my favorite and the memories of watching him on television and some of his old video.

Drag bunting with two strikes is always a good formula for cutting down on strike-outs.
