ACC bowl situtation

If we were to win next week our 4-4 could very well put us up to about 7th in the bowl order.. who had duke ahead of almost every one? there are a whole bunch of ACC teams who will be sweating it out the last 2 weeks. I hope we can make those last 2 games mean something.

we could finish 3-9. pitt could easily lose their last 6. BC has a shot at finish in the top half of the league.. the SU games vs BC/mary/Pitt could be the difference for all 4 teams going to a bowl.

It's obvious that the ACC is as deep and talented as the sec whereby the teams just keep beating each other up. Spin, baby!!!

ACC has a "one win rule." This only applies to conference records. A (6-6, 4-4) SU team would be the last team selected, since a bowl could pick any other bowl eligible team with a 3-5 or 4-4 conference record. Maybe they pick SU over Pitt or BC. But if they don't beat Wake this is all academic. If they lose to WF it's very unlikely they go 3-0 against MD, Pitt and BC.

If we get to 6 wins there is a pretty good chance that most of the teams like pitt, bc, nc st dont get to 6 wins.

pitt better step it up to beat GT/ND/Miami so losing to us will be a killer

Duke if they play well down the stretch could kill a bunch of bowl bids

BC loses to us and VT and they would have to run the table
maryland loses to us and VT and they still have lots of chances to get that 6th win.
NC state probably loses to NC and Duke so they need to run the table
UNC with 5 losses but all winnable games left
Virg has 3 top 10 teams left so they are done
wake loses to us and FSU they need to win out.

ACC has 7 bowl teams pretty well locked the rest could kill themselves round robin.
Big 12 is looking at only 5 bowl eligible teams right now..
Big 10 looking at 7
AAC is looking at 4-5

lots of teams scrambling to get to that 6th win this year.

Fl-Vandy could be for a bowl game for florida..
