Warren Hill, Syracuse, Sr., G
Those watching closely the last couple years recognized Syracuse’s defensive problems went well beyond goalie play, and goalie Bobby Wardwell took more grief than was warranted because of the help (or lack thereof) he received from the six guys in front of him. But the reality is, the Orange haven’t been able to count on a goalie to win a game for them since John Galloway graduated in 2011; the numbers --- a .505 team-wide save percentage over the last four years --- back it up. In steps Hill, who played in six games last year after posting a 4.83 goals against average in two seasons at Onondaga Community College. He’s unlikely to match that figure, but he could provide the Orange with a boost between the pipes given regular playing time..
