At UNLV

I generally prefer MGM and don't think you can go wrong at their hotels. I consider Delano to be the best value on the strip, and I actually just stayed there again a few weeks ago. Great property and hotel and closest to Allegiant. My only issue with it is location because its so far from the heart of the strip and that's why I'm not staying there for the game.

If you want something more luxurious, Bellagio, Aria and Cosmopolitan all have much different vibes than each other and are great hotels/resorts. MGM Grand, Park and Mandalay/Delano are a little bit below them, but also have a ton to offer.

NYNY, Excalibur and Luxor are all great for families and a little easier on the wallet.

I stayed at the Delano the weekend of the ND-BYU game at Allegiant. Great location for the game and it’s kinda nice to stay at hotel without a casino while also having access to the entire Mandalay property. I didn’t think it was too difficult getting to the rest of the strip with the monorail there.

I can't believe drinks are over 20 bucks at all these high end restaurants/clubs/bars dang.

Used to spend a lot of time in Vegas and just accumulate free drink tickets with $1-2 tips on sports bets I don't think I've ever ordered a drink from the bar and paid in Vegas because why the hell would I if I didn't have to?

I’m a jack and coke guy, but I’ve started filling my pockets with high noons when I’m just wandering around the strip. After 4 or 5 of those I’m either, playing and drinking for free, or buzzed enough to start grabbing $16 jack and cokes. There’s a bar at the front of the Luxor that had had really decent prices last time I was there.

Had to stay at Paris on a biz trip this year. Absolute dump, place had a mold issue (it was rumored).

Seen a couple of tik tok reviews on Paris and it’s one of the dirtier hotels

Good to know I have a convention there first week of March. Can’t go crazy comping but I want something good. Where would you go for one of their halls?

Where would I what? Sorry don't follow...

I’ll be at the Marriott Grand Chateau because it was easiest to find a 2 bedroom suite plus lucky to have some vacation club points. If I see any of you in Orange at the rooftop bar I’ll get you a drink.
What's the location like for that? I didn't even think about using my Marriott points

The properties are so big it’s hard to gauge which adjacent one would have quick access to the Paris convention center halls. Wasn’t sure if your work was actually at Paris.

Ah ok.

Bellagio was across the street.

Looks pretty central to a lot of the fun parts of the strip. Less than 2 miles to the stadium too. Haven’t stayed there before but being one of their vacation club properties it should be pretty solid.

So... tailgating in 110 degree heat. What's the plan? Maybe cold cuts?

It shouldn't be be 110 in October. Probably upper 80s.

Last August I was there and it was in the 60s with downpours because of the west coast hurricane.

A UNLV fan said...he thinks if The Raiders play that Sunday they want UNLV to move their game to Friday night. Trying to track down this if true.

BL: if you travel Friday...be flexible.

Southwest Airlines do allow schedule changes as do a few others JIC
If I can make it the airlines suck so much I'll drive

Still like that off the strip.

I'm sold out but I have folks on the waiting list

If anyone wants to step up and purchase 20 or more tickets you shouldn't have a problem selling them.

Yeah, it has really gone downhill. My wife and I stayed there back in the early 2000's and it was night and day as to now. The Paris has taken on a Moulin Rouge type of joint as well IMO.

We went to Vegas a month ago during the first four days of March Madness, etc. and stayed at the Palazzo at the Venetian Resort. They set up a really cool March Madness event at their Stadium/Brackets venue. The entire place is magnificent!

Went through the Venetian on the way to The Sphere / U2 gig, and wondered why the heck we weren't staying there.

I have nothing but bad things to sat about Paris. The air circulation system was vile.
